Bourbonnais, IL — St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and many Illinoisans will be celebrating with parades and parties featuring green beer and cocktails. To remind motorists of the dangers of drunk driving and to help keep our streets safe, Bourbonnais Police is teaming up with the Illinois State Police and Illinois Department of Transportation for a stepped-up traffic safety campaign beginning Friday, March 8, through Monday, March 18.
Bourbonnais, IL – The annual sold-out Chocolate Tour made its way through Bourbonnais, Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. For the second consecutive year, the winter event was held at the Bishop McNamara Bourbonnais Site, while construction continues on the village’s Community Campus. Cohosted by the Village of Bourbonnais and Bourbonnais Township Park District, in conjunction with title sponsor Sweet Street, 350 participants explored Bourbonnais businesses while indulging in sweet treats and more at each stop. Those who visited all 40 locations were eligible to win the grand prize, courtesy of Andaul Jewelers, and a runner-up grand prize, courtesy of Bourbonnais Friendship Festival.

The annual event is sponsored in part by the Villages of Bradley and Bourbonnais, Bourbonnais Township and Bourbonnais Township Park District. The celebration brings together Bourbonnais Township senior citizen residents, ages 55 and older, for an old-fashioned Irish dinner, entertainment and a night of festive fun at Quality Inn & Suites located at 800 North Kinzie Avenue in Bradley.

The 10.7-acre park is nestled along the Kankakee River at 1200 Canterbury Lane and is one of the village’s largest premier parks. Remaining untouched for the past 20 years, the park is the latest in the Imagine Bourbonnais initiative inviting the community to participate in its future via a Master Planning process.

Bourbonnais, IL — The holidays are a time for caring and sharing, which is why the Bourbonnais Police Department is partnering with the Illinois Department of Transportation to spread the word about the dangers of impaired driving with a “Driver Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Drive High. Get a DUI.” enforcement campaign. Through Jan. 2, law enforcement across Illinois will show zero tolerance for alcohol- and drug-impaired driving to keep our roads safe and help ensure a happy holiday season.
Bourbonnais, IL – The Village of Bourbonnais is pleased to announce the winners for the fourth annual “Very Merry Coloring Contest” sponsored by Aqua Illinois and Koehler Sports & Spinal Rehab. The contest was open to village residents of all ages and free to participate. The custom Bourbonnais coloring page could be downloaded and printed directly at home or copies were available at village hall. A total of 83 entries were received by the contest deadline December 18.
