 Admin BuildingThe Village of Bourbonnais operates under the Council/Administrator form of government.

The Village Administrator is the Chief Administrative Officer of the Village and is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Village.

The Administrator is appointed by the President and Board of Trustees and serves as business manager, attends all Board meetings and makes recommendations to the Board.

The Village Administrator is responsible for implementing the policies and directives of the Village President and Board of Trustees.

The Village Administrator supervises the Village staff, consultants and leads the development of staff recommendations to the Village President and Board, and supports the Village's various committees and commissions.

The Administration Department is the center from which all other departments originate. Information and inquiries received and made here are directed to the proper channels.

The Administration Department consists of 12 employees and is directly responsible for many of the Village's functions. These include, but are not limited to, economic development, board and committee meetings, business and liquor licensing and resident information.
