The Village of Bourbonnais has contracted with Republic Services to collect household garbage, recyclable materials and yard waste from all single-family residences within the Village.
All household garbage is to be placed out for pick-up each week by 6:30 a.m. on your regular pick-up day or set out the night before. Household trash should be placed inside the toter(s) provided by Republic Services. If you are ever in need of a large dumpster or you feel you need a smaller toter, please contact Republic Service's Customer Service Department at 815-472-3332.
The Village of Bourbonnais is proud to be a recycling community. 96-gallon toters marked for recycling only are available for each home via Republic Services. The toters are on wheels and have lids, which further keep the Village clean by reducing animal, insect and litter problems. Recycling services are provided to residents every other week.
Acceptable Recycling Items:
Flattened cardboard, paper, metal cans and plastic bottles and jugs.
The seasonal yard waste program is a weekly service provided by Republic Services from approximately April 1st through November 30th on your regular garbage pick-up day. Guidelines mentioned below must be followed for removal.
PLEASE NOTE: Tree branches in excess of two inches in diameter will not be removed. Tree branches must be bundled in a maximum 2 feet in diameter and 4 feet in length and should weigh no more than 40 lbs. If you need brush pick-up, you can find more information on the Public Works page.
Bulk waste pickup is limited to one item per household per week and must be arranged with Republic Services prior to placing the item roadside. The bulk item will not be picked up with your regular weekly garbage removal service.
For permissible items and/or to schedule a pick up, please contact 708-272-6764 or visit: https://www.republicservices.com/residents/bulk-waste.
