Free event part of outdoor summer series
Bourbonnais, IL – The Village of Bourbonnais presents Yoga in the Park Saturday, July 31st from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in Goselin Park located behind the Bourbonnais Municipal Center at 700 Main Street NW. The Sunrise Yoga & Summer Vibes session will feature Olive Branch Yoga studio and a slow-geared vinyasa flow recommended for all skill levels ages 13 and older.
Attendees are reminded to bring a yoga mat, towel, water and wear clothing that is easy to move in. Pre-registration is not required; however, please arrive approximately 15 minutes early. This free event is sponsored in part by Aqua Illinois, AMITA Health St. Mary’s Hospital, ComEd and CommonWealth Credit Union.
“The village continues to introduce new events for the community this summer,” stated Village of Bourbonnais Mayor, Paul Schore. “We look forward to providing this new outdoor experience and connecting our residents and visitors with the business community in Bourbonnais.”
Following Yoga in the Park, complimentary coffee will be provided by Starbucks Bourbonnais and breakfast will be available for purchase from Candy & Cake.
“Start your Saturday morning refueled, refreshed and reconnect with the community,” said Village of Bourbonnais Marketing & Public Engagement Manager, Lindy Casey. “Whether you’re a yoga enthusiast or looking to try something new, we welcome you!”
Due to mobility-curated movements, it is advised to not participate in yoga if you have an injury, recent diagnosis, a change in health and/or difficulty transitioning from a standing position to the ground.
