Yard waste service is provided from March 31st through November 30th on your regular garbage pick-up day.
There are three ways to dispose of your yard waste:
- Place all waste in 30-gallon brown paper yard waste bags. No stickers are required. Yard waste bags can be found at local hardware and grocery stores.
- Apply the "Yard Waste" sticker to your own 35-gallon container. - Rent a 96-gallon yard waste container from Allied Waste for an annual fee of $30.00 by contacting the customer service department at 815-472-3332.
PLEASE NOTE: Tree branches in excess of two inches in diameter will not be removed. Tree branches must be bundled in a maximum 2 feet in diameter and 4 feet in length and should weigh no more than 40 lbs. If you need brush pick-up, you can find more information on the Public Works page:
