Village Clerk, Chad Meents has served on the Village Board since July of 2025. Chad is currently an Organizational Training Specialist for CSL Behring. For the past six years he has coached his sons' baseball teams and is currently the Vice President of the Bradley Bourbonnais Little League Board.
Chad and family have resided in Bourbonnais since 2016. His wife, Laura, is the Site Supervisor over the Bourbonnais Primary Care office for Riverside. They have two sons, Clark and Lucas. Chad is a 2001 graduate of Herscher High School, then attending Kankakee Community College before transferring to Eastern Illinois University.
Chad is a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He has attended and served in various capacities for over 25 years at the American Legion Premier Illinois Boys State Program. During this week long program, Chad and other leaders educate high school students between their junior and senior years of high school from across the state on the importance of civic duty. Citizens, as they are called, spend the week gaining an understanding of local, county, and state government. They are encouraged to go home and find a way to be involved. It is through the years of service with this organization that Chad has gained the desire and skills to successfully serve the Village of Bourbonnais.
Chad and Laura are both dedicated members of Calvary Bible Church in Bourbonnais. In his free time, Chad enjoys cycling, reading, and movies. Notably, Chad participated in the 2022, 2023, and 2024 RAGBRAI Rides in Iowa and hopes to participate with one or both of his sons again in the future.
