Holiday Homes and Holly Jolly Lighting Contest Registration

Event Dates: Registration: November 1st – November 27th by 4:30pm

• Holiday lights and decorations must be displayed: November 28th – December 25th
• Online Map Released for Community Viewing: December 1st
• Traditional Judging: December 1st - December 3rd
• People’s Choice Facebook Voting: Friday, December 1st – Sunday, December 10th
• Winners Announced via Facebook

Categories: Traditional and People’s Choice (Facebook Voting)

Prizes/Judging: 1st, 2nd & 3rd place prizes awarded in each category

• Independent parties will conduct official judging.
• Judges are exempt from winning.

Contest Guidelines: Contest is open to Village of Bourbonnais residents.

• Entries must be within Village of Bourbonnais corporate limits.
• No commercial entries – residential applicants only.
• Registration must be completed in order to participate. Completed forms must be received no later than Monday, November 27th at 4:30pm.
• Registration forms are available for downloading at villageofbourbonnais.com or at the Village of Bourbonnais Administration Building 600 Main St. NW during business hours Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm. 
• Registration can also be filled out on the Google Form below.

Registration must be completed in order to participate.

Each applicant will receive a confirmation email following receipt of registration form.

• Addresses and lighting/decoration display photos will be made available via an online map for community viewing and Facebook voting for the People’s Choice winner. (Names will not be included.)
• Each entry will be assigned an entry number and be provided a yard sign with the entry number. The sign must remain in a highly-visible location for viewing, judging and online voting purposes.
• Winners will receive an additional yard sign for recognition.
• The Village of Bourbonnais will collect all yard signs at the conclusion of the contest.
• Only one entry per residence permitted.
• The Village of Bourbonnais reserves the right to refuse participation to or disqualify any holiday lighting displays or decorations deemed off-subject or out of context; containing obscenity; containing offensive terms; is threatening, harassing or discriminatory; incites or promotes violence or illegal activities; threatens individual or public safety; or promotes or endorses political campaigns or candidates.
