Bourbonnais Police Department
News Release
February 1, 2011

For Immediate Release

Due to the expected heavy snowfall predicted by the National Weather Service for the Village of Bourbonnais. The on street parking restrictions will be in effect as of 5:00 PM today 02/01/11 or if 4 inches of snow falls prior to that.

Parking on any Village street is prohibited after the ban takes effect and vehicles left on the streets will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. This restriction will remain in effect until the snow condition is cleared.

With over 83 miles of roadways to clear and the full complement of Village plows expected to be at work, we seek the public’s compliance with this restriction.

Should anyone not have adequate parking at their home. The West lot of the Village Police Facility (old administration building) is available for residents to park in to avoid ticketing. No overnight semi parking will be allowed.

Village of Bourbonnais – February 4 , 2011
Snow Pile Removal

Due to the amount of snow we have, there are large piles of snow throughout the village on sides of the streets, cul-de-sacs and at the end of driveways.  We are asking that you don’t allow your children to play in the mounds of snow near the streets and/or parking lots as there will be plows in the area pushing piles back or removing them and we don’t want any injuries or danger to children. Thanks for your cooperation.
