Bring in your spare change through November and help support Christmas Shop with a Cop 2018!
The Village of Bourbonnais offices (Administration Building, Police Department and Public Works) will be collecting coins for local kids through November and at our holiday party.
Your generous donations will provide Kankakee County children with a special Christmas experience. Officers will pick them up at home in a police car, ride to breakfast at McDonald's, followed by shopping for gifts at Wal-Mart, and returning home with their gifts and a food basket for their family to have a Christmas meal.
If you are a local business or organization and would like to support Christmas Shop with a Cop, please contact Lindy Casey at email@example.com or 815-802-5325

Bourbonnais will begin the $10 Million sewer project. The Village of Bourbonnais will begin construction of the most expensive project in village history, as it prepares for the new Interstate 57 interchange and a 1,200-acre business and industrial park at Bourbonnais Parkway.
The board unanimously accepted a $10.1 million contract with Kankakee Valley Construction Company Inc. to complete the first phase of a six-mile sewer system. Kankakee Valley Construction will complete the first 4 miles, which will run from the Perry Farm area through town to St. George Road.
Construction begins this summer (June) with the project expected to be completed by next year. The second phase of the project, which village officials believe will cost about $1.5 million, will connect to the interceptor at St. George Road and run to Bourbonnais Parkway.
"We are looking at the new interchange being complete by summer of 2018," Mayor Paul Schore said. "We want to things in place and utilities ready to go for future businesses and industries to come in."
