The Village Board is comprised of the Mayor, Village Clerk, and six Trustees, elected, at-large, to individual, four-year overlapping terms. The Village Board meets on the first and third Mondays of each month, and other times as necessary. Meeting times and dates are posted in the Village hall, and all meetings are held in compliance with the Illinois Open Meetings Act.

Mayor Robert Latham has served as Mayor since 2001. Prior to his election, he had served as a Village Trustee for 15 years, and had chaired the Village’s Finance Committee for four years. Mayor Latham has been involved in the Bourbonnais Community for more than 50 years. Originally from Tennessee, Mayor Latham is married to his wife Karen, and they have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

Mayor Latham has retired from Bunge Foods in Bradley, and now is working for Kankakee River Metropolitan Agency as a Maintenance Coordinator. He and Karen enjoy spending time with their grandchildren, and he is an avid football and basketball fan.

Mayor Latham represents the Village on a variety of Boards and Committees in the Kankakee County area, including the Economic Development Council of Kankakee County, Area Jobs Development Association, and the Metropolitan Planning Organization for area wide transportation planning.

Village Clerk Brian Simeur has served as Village Clerk since 1995 and has been active in the Bourbonnais Community for more than 13 years. Village Clerk Simeur is married to his wife Denise and they have one son.

Village Clerk Simeur is employed as an Accounting Manager for Aventis Behring in Bradley, Illinois. He is an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan.



Trustee Gary Residori has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 1985, and has been active in the Bourbonnais Community for more than 33 years. Born in Kempton, Illinois, Trustee Residori moved to Bourbonnais in 1969. Trustee Residori is married to Jane, and they have 2 children.

Trustee Residori is employed at Bunge Foods in Bradley, Illinois as a Material handler. He is active in auto racing, and enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.

Trustee Residori serves as Chair of the Public Works committee, and as liaison to the Friendship Festival Committee.

Trustee Vera C. Amiano has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 1997, and has been active in the Bourbonnais community for more than 28 years. Trustee Amiano is married to her husband Joe, and they have 2 children.

Trustee Amiano serves as the Vice President for the Bank of Bourbonnais. She has served as the President of the Bradley-Bourbonnais High School Foundation Board, President of the Bradley-Bourbonnais Rotary Club, and is a member of the Bradley-Bourbonnais Chamber of Commerce. She enjoys reading, gardening, scrap booking and oil painting.

Trustee Amiano serves as Chair of the Finance Committee, and Community and Economic Development Committee, and is a member of the Bourbonnais Police Pension Board.


Trustee Paul Schore has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 1997, and has been active in the Bourbonnais Community for more than 20 years. Trustee Schore is married to his wife Mary, and they have three children.

Trustee Schore is employed at Aventis Behring in Bradley, Illinois. He is active in Boy Scouts and is avid sports and racing fan.

Trustee Schore serves as Chair of the Annexation, Zoning and Building Committee, the Utility Committee, and the Franchise, License, and Administration Committee

Trustee Bruce Greenlee has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 2001, and has been active in the Bourbonnais community for more than 35 years. Trustee Greenlee is married to his wife Pamela, and they have 4 children.

Trustee Greenlee is the owner of a local company. He enjoys golf, and is a member of the Reed Institute, Grace Bible Church, and the West Point Military Academy Parents Club.

Trustee Greenlee serves as Chair of the Police Committee

Trustee Scott Byrne has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 2003, and has been active in the Bourbonnais Community for many years. Trustee Byrne is married to his wife, Karla, and they have two children.

Trustee Byrne serves as the Business Agent for Local #422 Plumbers and Pipefitters, and enjoys golfing and auto racing.

Trustee Byrne serves as Chair of the Buildings and Grounds Committee.

Trustee Wayne Baranowski was elected to the Board of Trustees in April of 2007. Prior to his election, he served as a Village Trustee for 19 years in St. Anne, Illinois. He is a former Daily Journal photographer and photo editor. Trustee Baranowski is married to Lori, and they have 4 children.

Trustee Baranowski is the owner & operator of Wayba Productions LLC, an event/commercial photography business. He also teaches a photography class at Kankakee Community College.
